COMPETITION LEVELS

 

OPEN CLASS

  • For those carvers or professionals who have won a 1st Best of Show OR, have won an Intermediate 1st Best of Class OR a total of Ten (10) 1st place ribbons at the Intermediate level in recognized Carving Competitions.

INTERMEDIATE CLASS

  • For carvers who have advanced beyond the Novice stage and who have won, as a Novice, a 1st, 2nd, or 3rd Best of Show, OR a Novice Best of Class, OR Five (5) 1st place ribbons at the Novice level in recognized Carving Competitions.
  • A Carver, who has won a first place ribbon in the Open Class, OR a 1st Best of Show, OR an Intermediate 1st Best of Class, OR Ten (10) 1st in Intermediate, may NOT enter Intermediate.

NOVICE CLASS

  • Open to any carver who has yet to win Five (5) 1st place ribbons in recognized Carving Competitions.
  • NOTE: A carver, who has won a first place ribbon in the Intermediate Class, OR a 1st, 2nd, or 3rd Best of Show, OR a Novice 1st Best of Class, OR Five (5)-1st in Novice, may NOT enter Novice.

YOUTH CLASSES

Youth 1 - 12 years and under
Youth 2 - 13 to 15 Years.
No class or category segregation. All entries, in each Class will be judged together.

BEST OF CLASS

All 1st place winners of each Category in that Class are eligible.

BEST OF SHOW

The 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place winners of the Open, Intermediate & Novice BEST OF CLASS competitions are eligible.
