CARVING GUIDELINES
- All Classes, all Categories.
- All carvings must be the sole work of the entrant. It is strongly recommended that all carvings be signed & dated. (However, this should be covered with tape for anonymity).
- All carvings must have been completed within the last 12 months, January 2011 to January 2012.
- Entries from Previous CWC years are prohibited
- All entries must be made of wood. Except for Category 20 see Category Clarifications below
- Glass eyes are accepted.
- Other materials may be used as functionally required.
i.e.. Hinges, hasps, drawer pulls, cane tips, etc.
- Where a Wildfowl size is specified, that dimension shall be measured from the base of the Bill to the end of the Body (Pygostyle) using a tape measure. (Done this way at World's 2007).
- OPEN CLASS
- Other materials may be used for habitat, bases, and structural purposes but must be hand formed.
- The use of real rocks, uncarved driftwood, etc. is NOT accepted.
- INTERMEDIATE CLASS
- Other materials may be used for habitat, bases, and structural purposes but must be hand formed.
- The use of real rocks, un-carved driftwood, etc. (for habitat or bases) is discouraged.
- NOVICE CLASS & YOUTH
- Other materials may be used for habitat, bases, and structural purposes.
i.e. pewter feet, driftwood, etc.
